Mac Findlay
CEO Anovia Health, MSO
Mac Findlay, CEO of Anovia Health MSO, has been passionate about changing the healthcare system for many years. He had experiences typical of large system U.S. healthcare - receiving a surprise $3,000 MRI bill, waiting months for a primary care visit, and watching his brother get bounced between mental health providers. While working for large providers, insurers, and healthcare private equity firms, he saw these same issues from the inside – and saw little appetite to fix them. His journey led him to independent, direct primary care, which he sees as the best solution to providing truly high-quality, affordable healthcare.
Before joining Anovia, Mac was the Director of Health Services & Pharmacy Strategy at CVS Health, where he led projects to improve operations, help patients shop for lower-cost medications, and expand access to care during the pandemic. Prior to that, Mac worked at EY-Parthenon, a management consulting firm, and Clarify Health, a value-based care software company.
Mac grew up in Chicago and Minneapolis and earned B.S. and B.A. degrees from Duke University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He lives with his wife Rachel and dog Fitz in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mac loves hiking, biking, surfing – really anything outdoors – and he and his brother do a week-long backpacking trip every year. Unfortunately Mac is a Chicago sports fan, but he has nothing but respect for Wisconsin sports after a lifetime watching the Bears lose to the Packers.
